Season Review.

It's been a tough season, United are languishing in the 6th place. We're miles off City and Liverpool. However, We have to reflect on the season and see what happened.

The Season has kicked off in a negative fashion, Spurs beat us 3-0 at OT. West Ham, City, Liverpool all gave us a footballing lesson. The players were dull, the football was dull and Jose Mourinho got the sack. OGS took over and the form picked up, so did the results. We rolled over Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal; drew with Liverpool where we should've won. PSG came over and we lost 2-0. This gave us all a reality check and we found out the squad deficiencies. We were still going strong in the league beating Crystal Palace and Southampton before we rolled over Paris Saint Germain 3-1 to create history in the UEFA Champions league and progress.

Since then, it was the form of the old. Losing to Arsenal, Wolves x2, Everton, Barcelona and City in the process. Top 4 challenge in tatters. United are yet to play already relegated Cardiff and Huddersfield where we should win and get the 3 points.

So, Who has performed and who has not? How has the manager performed?

Let's get into the player ratings for the season.

GK's:

David De Gea- 6: Made some very important saves throughout the season but his dip in form gets him a 6.

Sergio Romero- 5

Lee Grant- 4.

Defense:

Antonio Valencia- 4. Marcos Rojo- 4. Eric Bailly-4. Chris Smalling- 6. Phil Jones- 3.

Darmian- 4. Young- 3. Diogo Dalot- 6. Victor Lindelof- 8.

Everyone has played poorly except for some brilliant attacking and defensive prowess by Dalot and Lindelof. Chris Smalling gave us crucial blocks, interceptions and clearances. Rest of them were either injured or bad. Young, Valencia and Darmian are leaving.

Midfield.

Paul Pogba- 6, Andreas- 6, Scott McTominay- 7, Fred- 5, Herrera- 7, Matic- 5, Fellaini- 4.

Our midfield has been very inconsistent to say the least. One reason has to be frequent tactical changes, the other their attitude. Scott McTominay, Andreas and Herrera have been very impressive for me. Paul Pogba has to improve his consistency.

Attack:

Alexis Sanchez-2, Jesse Lingard- 3, Anthony Martial- 5, Marcus- 7, Lukaku- 5, Mata- 6

Our forwards have been misfiring, We've missed the fluidity and the movement of Lingard. Alexis Goals could've been crucial but he didnt score at all, he did give us some crucial passes and create chances. Anthony Martial and Rashford have sparked in parts of the season and need to develop more consistency. Romelu Lukaku has to improve his fitness and rediscover his goal scoring touch as well.

Well, It's an end to a hard season.

Who knew, There would be these many changes to the club and the footballing world!
